Sugar Cane Photo Exhibit At The Julian Poydras Museum and Arts Center

We are pleased to announce The Julian Poydras Museum and Arts Center in New Roads, LA will be presenting the black & white Sugar Cane photo exhibit by award winning photographer Aaron Hogan. Aaron Hogan is an international photographer best known for his creative work in weddings and portraits. This show will run from October 14 until November 2, 2014.

Aaron Hogan’s Sugar Cane series follows Mr. Ourso, a local planter, for an entire season as a sugar cane farmer in White Castle, Louisiana. The series documents the entire process, from planting to grinding to burning of the fields, and the emotional connection the farmer has to his fields. This dramatic black & white series took almost a year to complete and this exhibit is the culmination of that work.

The Julian Poydras Museum and Arts Center is located at 500 West Main Street, New Roads, LA. Additional dates and locations for the Sugar Cane Exhibit will be announced in the coming weeks.
