Award winning photographer Aaron Hogan will be debuting his black & white Sugar Cane photo exhibit at Magpie Café in Baton Rouge, LA. This show will run the entire month of August.
Aaron Hogan’s Sugar Cane series follows Mr. Ourso, a local planter, for an entire season as a sugar cane farmer in White Castle, Louisiana. The series documents the entire process, from planting to grinding to burning of the fields, and the emotional connection the farmer has to his fields. This dramatic black & white series took almost a year to complete and this exhibit is the culmination of that work.
