Before the wedding, Allyson and Beau invited me to capture their engagement photos at her parents’ home in Baton Rouge. While some may think you need a grand setting, I believe that the true magic of photography lies in connection, not location.
Allyson Bombet and Beau Braswell’s love story began on a blind date at Zea’s on Corporate Blvd, thanks to a mutual friend. Allyson still remembers first seeing Beau helping a group of older women in the parking lot—his kindness made a lasting impression before their date even started.
Fast forward to July 17th, when Beau proposed in their backyard garden, hiding the ring under a tray of plants. Simple, sweet, and perfectly them.
Their engagement session at Allyson’s parents’ home reflected exactly who they are—playful, authentic, and deeply connected. From laughter to quiet, tender moments, the photos prove that the magic isn’t in the location, but in the love they share.
