Leah Simon (cajun beauty, music business extraordinaire, and entrepreneur) and David Brown (Environmental Lawyer and Activist ) had a unique wedding at the foot of The Tree of Life in New Orleans. Originality and creativity flowed freely at this Red Cake Event planned wedding, with Jamie Ray from Air Seekers hanging from white silks in The Tree of Life and the beautiful fascinator atop the brides lovely head from Fleur De Paris . The couple also had a ring warming ceremony wherein each guest warmed the rings as they were passed inside a bird’s nest found in the groom’s backyard. The bride’s bouquet and floral designs at reception were by Ty Hanes from Urban Earth Studios.
The reception was at a new venue, 845 Cardondelet, owned by Marcello’s Restaurant in New Orleans. The cake was designed by local Baton Rouge baker Nannette Mayhall who has been making unforgettable cakes in the area for over 30 years. The cake balls were from Brew Ha Ha and the Autumn colored macaroons, Sucre. The catering was done by Joel‘s from New Orleans. The good time vibe was set by New Orleans’s popular dj, OTTO . The LOVE signs that donned both ceremony and reception are a New Orleans phenomenon from 2014 when two men John Hebert and Andrew Arthur Phoenix decided to put LOVE signs all over the streets of New Orleans. The signs represent the heart and soul of this amazing couple!
