In fact, Kali Soulier is the only florist that Nottoway Plantation recommends because of their trust and respect in her work. I have had the great pleasure to work with Kali on several weddings. From the first time we worked together, I was impressed. However, with each wedding, I saw Kali’s work was noticeably distinctive to each specific project. Whether it is the wedding bouquet, head pieces, center piece designs, flowers to wear, cake flowers, or for everyday floral arrangements, there is no limit to her creativity; the range in her floral design and unique use of a variety of delicate plants reveals how immensely talented she is.

I really love The Plantation Florist tradition: Kali hands each bride the wedding bouquet herself. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and I have seen brides start crying at first sight of their wedding bouquet. You can see the pictures of both brides being handed their wedding bouquet in this post. The first bride, Anita, lived in Europe. She and Kali planned the entire design by phone and email. Anita wanted her bouquet to feature roses, peonies, and dendrobium orchids with vivid jewel tones, but never got to meet Kali until the day of the wedding. The second bride wanted Kali to design everything without being able to give much input. She had full trust in Kali’s work, and I love her expression when she first saw her bouquet. From just these two weddings, you can see the effect that Kali’s work had on her clients.

In being passionate about her work, Kali makes such an impact on her clients. That, combined with a “Work hard, work smart” attitude and an extremely kind and funny personality makes Kali more than just a wedding vendor in the eyes of a bride and groom.
