Love is in the air. Today is Valentine’s Day 2014. It can be a very exciting day for some, or a depressing day for others. Make it your own and make it a good one.
After having had a major accident in March 2011 in which I fell onto concrete 17’ during a child’s photo shoot in downtown Baton Rouge, I realized the amazing person my then “girlfriend” Jency was.
During a trip to San Francisco in June 2011, 5 months after I had met her in the frozen foods aisle of Baton Rouge’s Whole Foods, and just after having shot an engagement session of our friends Meghan and Tylor Hansen, we went into an H&M clothing store and I proposed to her inside the dressing room. The next day, we took photos together at the headlands in Marin County. These headlands images were shot by my now sister-in-law Allie Griffin. Jency and I married 1.5 months after the proposal on July 24, 2011. We are very much crazy about each other today.
Be crazy about those you love. It’s a good thing! Tell someone you’ve not connected with in a long time how much you care about them.
